MaBu has been officially appointed as the ‘Project Manager’ for the development of a 150 unit + mountain complex, that is being built on over 10,000sqm of land. The property is located in a picturesque valley in Samokov, just 50mins away from Bulgaria’s bustling Capital, Sofia. What makes this development exceptional in its location is the fact that it is just 200 metres away from a Ski Lift Station that links this village with Bulgaria’s top Ski Resort, Borovets.
About the complex
The complex will consist of a mixture of studio apartments, 1/2/3 bedroom apartments, mountain villas and penthouses, all finished to the highest standard. It will have an administration building at the core of the complex, a restaurant, a communal pool as well as private pools with each villa and some of the apartments. About Samokov
Samokov is situated on the northern foot of the Rila Mountain, having the longest Bulgarian river, Iskar, passing directly through it. The town is just 60km away from Sofia, and just 5km from the worldwide famous ski resort, Borovets. The village of Samokov forms part of the Super Borovets scheme, connecting Borovets, Beli Iskar and Samokov through the newly built Gondola Ski Lift Station.
Samokov is also renowned for holding the World championship Moto GP every year, and for the numerous ski jump competitions that are organised throughout the winter and summer! It is envisaged that in the next few years, Samokov will have a large business park, a new sports complex as well as a new Golf course, making it a truly remarkable holiday or residing destination.
About Borovets
Borovets is the oldest and most developed mountain resort in Bulgaria. It is located 4,430 ft. above sea level on the northern slopes of the Rila Mountains. The resort is conveniently located just 73km away from Sofia, and is easily accessible by car or bus.
The resort has twice hosted the World Alpine Skiing Rounds, and is famous for its world-class biathlon track. There are 3 ski centres in the resort, offering 19 different ski runs (with a total length of 58km). The slopes have a permanent snow cover from November to May of more than 1.5m snow thickness. In the summer, Borovets is just as marvellous as it is in winter, offering clean fresh air, serene centuries old pine forests, blue lakes and majestic snow capped peaks. For nature lovers the resort is a favourite vacation spot and starting point of many hiking routes in the Rila Mountians. In summer, Borovets and its surroundings are also very much frequented by Bulgarians, who choose to go there to avoid the high temperatures of the City.
